CONSIDER THIS A WARNING: There’s a new smartphone app out there that claims to approximate
an intoxicated person’s blood alcohol content by scanning the user’s
eyes to detect and analyze Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) a field sobriety
test frequently employed by law enforcement officers. This app, “BreathalEyes”
is currently available only for iPhone users. This app is fun, but definitely
for entertainment purposes only.
DO NOT rely on this App. My knee showed a reading of .04 Blood Alcohol and the conference room
table gave us a .07 Blood alcohol content!
